1968 custom camper w/ 351v6
Hey everyone, I'm now to the board! last year I bought a 1968 gmc custom camper pickup which I knew was unique to begin with. the 3/4 ton is sunshine yellow with a little spray bomb here and there that someone did before i owned it. looks nice, caught somewhere between patina and pristine. but it also hosts a 351v6 engine. The truck is automatic. The underbody is beautiful, but like all of these trucks she's starting to rot at the bottom of the doors and lose a cab corner. other than the minor body cancer, the truck is in beautiful shape. I'd like to know how much this truck would be worth if it was restored painted and possibly have the bed sprayed by a company such as 'line-x' (that's the only spray in bed I'd get) about 76000 miles on the truck right now. Also does anyone have a source to grab parts for this 351v6? or parts that you can use on all of the gmc v6 engines? Will reproduction chrome trim and accessories fit on this truck? to my knowledge the bed is approximately 8 and a half feet. bed rails, chrome trim, tonau covers, etc...? What's fits and what doesn't?

Are you saying you have a 68 Longhorn!? Could you possibly post a picture? I am not positive on this, but I do know from other people on here and friends that a lot of aftermarket trim and body panels tend to need a little trimming/persuasion if you know what I mean If I were you and it might take some time; kind of like my 67 gmc; try and find some NOS or used original parts. I guarantee they will fit much better

Oh and about that 351v6. . The only place I have been able to locate any parts for these v6's; mine has a 305v6; is ebay. That's only a hit and miss thing though. Sorry I don't have any more ideas

What all do you need for the old V6? I have a good many laying around.
