Looking for a steering shaft spring

I am in need of the compression spring that snugs up against the lower bearing on the steering shaft on my 66 truck. I could also use another pinch clamp. My lower bearing failed and the shaft was not only eaten away but the spring broke. I am in the process of fixing the shaft, but I can't find a spring or clamp.
Any help with these would be greatly appreciated.

The picture shows the steering rod before being repaired. Yesterday I welded tup the worn area and today I am going to use a friend's lathe to turn the welded area down flush with the rest of the shaft.
