muffler help please
I have a 79 K30, 400 sb....puting headers on 2 1/2 pipes and looking at flowmaster super 40 or 44's.
My question is should i buy mufflers that have no offset, ones with a inlet offset or ones with a outlet offset? What is best? Also any opinions on which muffler sounds better the 44's or 40's....i want a nice wojnding idle but not something thats gonna drive me crazy after/during a 3 hour drive

Re: muffler help please
I got thrush mufflers from summit. 2 for 100 bucks. Same exact as fm 4o series. I like them. Nice tone not loud for long drives. Get the offset exit ones. Mine are middle inlet, offset exit. I have them dump at the rear axle.

Re: muffler help please
Thanks guys, i ended up going with Flowmaster Super 44's...offset inlet (because i wanted to keep the pipes as close to the frame as possible) and center outlet
