Looking for pics of original exhaust 250 6 cyl
Hey guys, I'm restoring a 68 k10 shortbox with a 6 cyl. I Need to get exh done and want it as original as possible. Anyone have pics of any original setups?
Ive got the original hanger on it for the muffler, does it go around the muffler? Looks like a large bracket. Thanks Matt

I will look at my original '67 to see if it has anything like that. I'm sure the exhaust has been changed but I don't know if they put original stuff back in or not...... Maybe Member Joesjunk has something, he has some nice original trucks. LockDoc

LMC sells the complete exhaust system for $129.

Re: Looking for pics of original exhaust 250 6 cyl
I have a complete original system out there. Looks more like dirt, but I'm sure some is still magnetic.
You should talk to Joe's Junk. It's possible his little blue shortbed has original exhaust. Could be the only ne on the planet. aftermarket doesn't concern themselves with sticking to factory blueprints. If it costs a nickle less to bend or route it here rather than there they do it

I have found over the years that aftermarket are very good at sticking to factory specs and many times looking at a walker diagrm will give you a very good idea as to what is stock and where it goes

Re: Looking for pics of original exhaust 250 6 cyl
Walker is my choice of brands. The pre-bent pieces I have bought are wrinkle bent and the factory crimp bent these exhausts. Replacements parts are not intended to be exact factory reproductions, just adequate to serve the same purpose.

I have no bracket like that and the exhaust isn't routed the same. Maybe it is 4WD specific.... LockDoc

Re: Looking for pics of original exhaust 250 6 cyl
Can't find much for walker exh. Just part numbers on some clamps. Friend of mine at exh shop said it looks to be discontinued?
