what spark plug wires for 71 with HEI? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I know I've been asking a lot of questions lately but here's another one. If my truck has an HEI distributer what application are you all buying wires for to get ones long enough to reach around to either the stock position under the manifolds or long enough to go over the top comfortably not to burn onto the manifold? If you want to run over the top straight boots seem like they would help. I bought wires for a newer truck so they would fit on the cap but some are not long enough to reach over the manifold to the plugs.

Not sure what I ever got them for before but these ones aren't getting it.

I did 75 vette. 90 deg ends that go underneath.

I always say '76 Vette. I guess we have the Corvette option

So that will give me enough wire length to go under the manifold like original? Do you ever get the wires behind the motor mounts? It doesn't seem like the boots would fit. Just wondering and thanks for the reply's.

These are the Corvette wires. Yes to both of your questions. They also fit in the factory looms... a bit tight but they fit. Mine are Bosch wires.
