Newbie

Hi all,

Just bought my first GM truck. 1970 GMC 3/4 ton Camper Special. 350, TH350, LWB. It's a born and raised Cali truck so it is 100% rust free . Have a few newbie questions.

Where can I find an option decoder to check the original specs shown on the glove box cover?

What are the largest 16" wheels/tires that will fit?

If I want to move the fuel tank to the spare tire area, which fuel tank will best fit?

And finally, how can I use the search feature of this board. It says I do not have permission to use it, even though I have registered.

Thanks for all your help

Welcome from Pa.The search is disabled right know because of bugs.A blazer/suburban tank is a relatively easy fit.

Welcome, the search function is disabled for everyone, problem with the board. All these questions are asked periodically. Keep a close watch and they will all be answered in short time.

Welcome from Texas
Update your location so everyone will know where you are.
You will get responses to your needs from boardmembers close by instead of the eternal question of: where are you located?
Post a picture of the option tag fom the glovebox.
These folkes are the experts

Have fun

Hi landon, I'm down there frequently. I just checked out your progress. Quite the beauty you're building there. I'd love to see her sometime. I'll get back to you on the gas tank. Definite possibility there. Does it come with a sending unit? If not, where would you suggest I look for one?

Also looking for some chrome wheels (8 lug) for my rig - if anyone hears of any for sale
