My old 60 panel was put up for sale today.
I had a lot of good times in this girl growing up. I drove that thing everywhere I went. I just saw that the guy who has it put it up for sale for $1500. No drivetrain in it. Basically as you see it. Has two sunroofs in it. One up front and one in the rear. It has some old stained oak slats out of an old school house for the ceiling and sides and carpet throughout. Chain steering wheel. He told me that the wiring harness caught fire or melted so he ripped it all out.

I always wanted to make it my family vacation rig. So tempting although I can't do them all.

I might go down and talk to them. I have too many other trucks I am wanting to do though. Not sure what I would do with it. Maybe trade it for a project truck or something. If only I could build them all.

Re: My old 60 panel was put up for sale today.
It also has rust setting in pretty bad. The last time I saw it the lower quarters which had some bondo in were starting to decay pretty bad. Around the hood inserts are getting rusty too. I haven't looked at it in two years so I am not sure how much more it has decayed. Hard to tell in the pics. I was shot a price of $1000 and it came with I believe a 64 1/2 ton but not sure if long or short bed. I haven't seen that truck in years though. It use to belong to us as well but it has been twenty years or better probably since I saw that truck last. He is now telling people that $1200 will take it but not sure if what he told me still stands or not.
I would like to have it back but honestly I don't know what I would do with it as I have other projects that need done first. I would just be buying it to have it back in the family for now. It is either buy and store it for a while, buy and flip, or buy and trade for another project. A lot of memories in that thing growing up. Cruising it when I was in high school and then in my twenties I use to drive it on a regular basis. I am the one who put the big dent in the side of it being stupid.

Well I was going to go and look at it but the owner had already set up a time with another person which he ended up buying it.

Sounds like that may be best anyway. Even though I have some great memories of my 56 Merc, I don't think I would buy it back......
