Re: Project "Root Beer" 84 C10
I love the truck but the step bumper i would change out for something like a blazer/suburban rear bumper.

Re: Project "Root Beer" 84 C10
what size tires and rims? I like the truck but agree the Blazer rear bumper would be a huge improvement.

Re: Project "Root Beer" 84 C10
I may change the bumper if I don't sell it this week, I do have the correct tail lights ready to install. The wheels are 20x10 & 20x8 with 1.25" spacer on the rear. Tires are 275/45 & 245/40.

I only have one, but It's amazing what wheels, tires and a nice stance can do for a stock truck.

Just wonder why you don't order the correct backspace on the rear wheels and skip the spacer. Just curious,... Your vision of these trucks is spot on.

Re: Project "Root Beer" 84 C10
Lolife99 you're correct on wheels. The standard 5.5" backspace is way to much in my opinion. With that being said, I'm more about wheel placement than a big lip a custom ordered wheel would give you. What I can't handle is when the front wheels are wider than the rear. So yes, the spacers put the wheel in the place a 4" backspaced custom wheel would for a little more than 1/2 price.

Re: Project "Root Beer" 84 C10
I agree on trucks with a wider front track width.
Looks terrible in my opinion. But there are hundreds of trucks out there, and most don't even see it. You are putting together great looking trucks.

Re: Project "Root Beer" 84 C10
What backspace are you running on the front? Where are you buying your spacers?

Re: Project "Root Beer" 84 C10
Just wondering where the best place to buy the lowering kit is. Noticed you have done a few of these trucks, figured you might know where to get the best bang for the buck.

Re: Project "Root Beer" 84 C10
Kyle, I just use Summit Racing for everything. The fast shipping from them is hard to beat. I use the DJM flip kits with the shock brackets, 2-1/2 spindles (any brand in stock for me ), 2" drop spring ( any brand ) or 1 round off stock springs. I get my shocks from Rockauto, I like the KYB brand, but I've used the $100 set of Monroe shocks at Autozone and still had a good ride.
