brake light wiring
I'm wanting to get my tail lights working. I havnt look at them yet. Not sure if they did work before. I'm pretty sure headlights work but when I went to 1 wire alternator and no external regulator headlights no workee.
I'm looking for wiring diagram for tail lights. Is there switch on brake pedel actuated make tail light circuit go true. I know there pain less wiring kits for the whole truck. But I'm just wanting to fix tail lights for now while it's on the road. |

Re: brake light wiring
Depending on the year truck you have it may have turn and brake lamps together. My 55 1st series had aftermarket signals so I will be running the brake lights into the new tail lamps to eliminate the extra lights on the back. There is a lever switch located low on the fire wall where the brake pedal rod outside the cab opens the circuit as the brake is applied. the tail lamps would go inside to the headlamp switch. There may even be a fuse that has blown.

Re: brake light wiring
This page shows wiring diagrams for 51 or 53 but not 52 in either pfd or jpg.
