what type of switches for airbags?
hey guys..
i pretty much have everything I need for my bag setup and the last part is now the switches. I was hoping you guys can guide me through on what type of switch to get. I currently have an 8 valve setup and was looking at getting the universal dual gauge plate and adding either the rocker or push button switches. This seems to be A LOT cheaper than getting an actual remote switchbox. Questions: - am i suppose to get a 2 or 3 prong switch? - since i will be have 2 switches per side, do i wire both the left and right inflate to one switch and the left/right deflate to the 2nd switch? - also i need a toggle switch to connect to the key switch for on/off - do I get the 2 or 3 prong one? Thank you! |

Re: what type of switches for airbags?
I think he was pointing you to using a pre-made switch box. Honestly if you don't know the correct switch you already need, you are likely not electrically savvy enough to build your own. Not trying to put you down but wiring on this level is not for beginners, if you want a reliable system. Buy a pre-made switch box and you'll likely have a lot less problems.

The 3 prong will give you up and down for one bag, basically the center is power in, then power to the valves on the other two. That will give you up and down on one switch. The 2 prong switch can only work one valve.
