Wiring harness: is this difficult to put in?
I'm a bit cautious about new things....but with me needing a new wire gutter and my front end basically removed right now, would this be a good investment?
How hard is this to get in? What is involved? http://www.classicheartbeat.com/Elec...%20harness.htm |

Re: Wiring harness: is this difficult to put in?
I installed this same one about six months ago and it worked great. The install was super easy and only required a few hand tools, nothing special. My ammeter actually works now and even my headlights brightened up just slightly. Now I'm not afraid of my truck burning down...from that harness at least. Lol. Definitely a solid product sold by Wes.

Re: Wiring harness: is this difficult to put in?
With the front end removed it would be much easier to put the engine harness in. Are you replacing the headlamp harness as well? It is only held at the fire wall with 1 screw in the center of the wire loom. After unplugging it you can slide the 2 harnesses apart at the plug.

Re: Wiring harness: is this difficult to put in?
there are actually 2 harnesses. one that runs along the firewall for the motor and one that runs along the driver fender and along the top of the rad support for the electricals and headlights. very easy to replace and upgrade if you decide to run an HEI and internally regulated alternator.
there are plug ins though for the turn signals.

Re: Wiring harness: is this difficult to put in?
For me, wiring harnesses are harder to take out than put in.
