Updating your bench seat
Does anyone know what bench seats fit best in the 64-66 cabs? I have a chance to procure a 60-40 split bench out of an 88 Chevy Pu. I'm wondering if this will work without to much modification.

Re: Updating your bench seat
The '88 style seat is a great choice for our trucks. Two of the mount bolts will line up and you'll have to drill the other two. The width is right, and the height is OK. I like to sit a little lower, so I chopped a couple of inches (lengthwise) out of my brackets.
I recommend the '88 seat if it's in good shape and the price is right.

Re: Updating your bench seat
Well I ended up with the 60 40 split bench seat out of an 88 Chev pick up. Turning out to be a bit more complicated than I thought. Guess I needed the solid bench seat instead. Any ideas on how to deal with the way mods need to be made to deal with the contour of the low hump??

Can you post up pictures of what the issues are?

Re: Updating your bench seat
At work right now and truck is at home. The seat requires 8 bolts to mount it so I need to drill 6 more. The contour or the low hump requires some shiming to make it sit correctly on the cab floor. I'll try to get some pics uploaded

Re: Updating your bench seat
This is a bench out of a '95 Chevy C-10. Perfect fit. The only mod I made was removing the headrests...........
