Under the bed fuel tank
I'm going to put EFI on my '54 3100 250ci straight 6. It's off a 4.3 GM V6. My biggest question is what under the bed tank did you use. I've heard some are using a Chevy car fuel tank with the filler neck behind the license plate. Any info would be appreciated. Great forum. This is my first post, I hope I'm doing it right

Re: Under the bed fuel tank
Chevyguyase...Welcome! This is a great forum with a lot of good folks willing to help. I used a tank from Tanks with the filler coming up through the bed in my 48 truck. Here are some options they have....http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/pa...cat/cat148.htm

Re: Under the bed fuel tank
on my '57 i used a reproduction '65 mustang tank and put the filler behind a flip down license plate. not sure if the same setup works for a '54.
got mine from tanks, inc. was $337 shipped for the kit including the sending unit compatible with stock fuel gauge. you have to custom fab the flip down bracket..

Re: Under the bed fuel tank
We use 67-68 or 69 Camaro tanks, 67-8 has a short neck, The 69 has a regular neck for a cap. This one pictured is a 67-68 and we when out the fender. You could go behind the plate with it as well. We have TBI kits with the tank, pump, straps, neck and hoses..
