Newbie here
Hello all, I'm Dave I've had several SBCs in my younger days but last year after looking for a Blazer or Stepside I came across a 1978 K10 Cheyenne Stepside. I did the usual stuff, changing the oil, tune up, diff services, etc. I will be making a build page when it comes time, I just need to finish the current project that I have. I have done a few things already to make it road worthy.
replaced the windshield and found this... cut it out on both sides, cleaned up the rest of the rust in the area, and POR 15 then put it back together bought some rallys for it... made a dual intake air cleaner... and bought some new fenders...

Re: Newbie here
Nice! Is there any real performance gain from the dual air intake mod?

Re: Newbie here
thanks for the welcomes all. the truck is pretty much all stock. there are a few exceptions, it has single exhaust instead of dual (previous owners), 4" all spring lift, rear step bumper, trailer brake, and a Target 350.
what I do know it is a 350/4sp/205, am/fm radio (not stereo)lol, gauges, dual tanks, factory buckets with console, Cheyenne package, and a sliding rear window. the air cleaner was the original skinny neck one so I think it does make a difference. more so to add cool points. the eventual plan is for a complete restore with a few extras (AC, PW, PDL, etc.) and change out the trans for a NV4500 or 5600 and an LSX engine. but that will have to wait a little as said before.
