Hood springs for '57 question
My hood sags down a little when open so my springs must be a little weak.
I want to make sure I get the best quality ones available. Any suggestions where I should buy them to insure I will get the best ones? Do stainless ones work any better? I don't care about the looks but would go for them if they work the best. |

Re: Hood springs for '57 question
Just buy stock reproduction springs from any of the major suppliers for these trucks and they'll work fine.

Re: Hood springs for '57 question
I bought a new set off ebay for a 55 chevy car. Chevy used the same spring for the cars and trucks. Amazing improvement in hood function, not only in holding hood up but also helps keep hood down tight on cowl.

Re: Hood springs for '57 question
The stock reproduction springs from Brothers work great.
The hood stays open now. |
