I need new wiper arms and blades for my TF - 3rd and final question today.
I want to buy a wiper blade kit that has the arms and blades together.
What's the best vendor to go to for the best quality? |

Anybody?
I'll get the ones from Brothers unless I hear anything different from you guys. I intend to order them online by the end of today. I need to get these coming soon as I should be ready for my Texas inspection in about a week and it needs the wipers working to pass. |

Sorry... when I built my truck I ended up with a pile of used arms. I took the best two for the truck. I'm still looking for longer than stock blades though. Once upon a time there were different sizes available but these days I only find the hook style listed in one size.

I can't find it but I had a link to rockauto that has NOS wiper arms for a relatively good price.

Re: I need new wiper arms and blades for my TF - 3rd and final question today.
I bought mine at the local parts house here in Missouri. Arms are Anco 41-01 and blades are Anco 20-12 if you are using 12" blades. The arm is adjustable for length and angle. When I called them they said they didn't have any. When they ran the part numbers that I provided, one store had the blades and another had the arms. Hope this helps.

I checked Rockauto and they are Goodmark brand.
I felt more confident about going with the ones from Brothers so I went ahead and sent in my order. Thanks for the help guys. |

Thanks good to know. I guess I wont take it to the car wash.
Have you ever thought of taping them down with duct tape or something first? |

Find a set of original Chevrolet pair. Either good used or NOS . Buff them out . I have 60 year old parts trucks with wiper arms that do not have any rust. Are you telling me the repos rusted in less than 6 months?

I misread and thought you were looking for stock. I have a set of the Ansco adjustable ones I had on the truck. Hardest part is finding chrome refill parts, I remember having to buy the black ones and refitting them to the chrome or stainless ones.

Re: I need new wiper arms and blades for my TF - 3rd and final question today.
The Anco part numbers I gave you on an above post were purchased on 7 -2010 and still look new and my truck is not garaged unless I'm working on it. The wipers and arms were only 29.12 with tax at my local parts house. They look stainless but I'm not sure. I went to Anco's web site to get the numbers. Trico is another OEM supplier.

Re: I need new wiper arms and blades for my TF - 3rd and final question today.
Not so happy with the wiper kit I got from Brothers.
They gave me 2 right arms, the blades don't match each other and one of the right arms fit's the hub so tight, I can't get it on all the way. The other right arm fits the hub just fine. So 3 issues. I called them first thing when I noticed I received to rights and they are going to send me a left. But, I hadn't discovered the 2 other problems yet. Since they told me I didn't need to return one of the right arms, I bent one so I could but it on the left as I want to get my Texas state safety inspection tomorrow. Unfortunately now the right one is the one that doesn't fit the hub correctly and it's a left arm that's on the way. The right one is on almost all the way but not quite after tapping on it with a rubber hammer. Now I'm afraid though that it's going to be darned hard to get back off. I may just bend the one coming into a right as it's not that hard to do and make look perfect as you can see in the photos. So, I need to call them again about the blade issue. It looks funky to have them not match even though they both work. |
