Hood lock?
Has anyone tried using the electronic release trunk latch to make a hood release so that the hood was released from the inside and locked? Or possibly a door popper from a door shaving kit?

Re: Hood lock?
You'd obviously want to make sure you have a safety latch, but it sounds like a good idea. It would probably be a lot easier than adapting a cable latch from a later model truck.

Re: Hood lock?
Yeah I was thinking of removing the main latch "ball" stud and leaving the safety latch... just trying to figure out the best and cost effective way to do this. Still researching what might work.
