battery question

hi all,anyone know the proper battery position for a 66,283.is positive terminal on rad side,are terminals closer to rad support or firewall side?thanks...dan

I don't have my Lambrecht Chevy auction picture file handy, but there was only one new 1965 1/2 ton 292 pickup with the original battery still in place. Positive post was fender side as the small 14 guage red lead wire went to the side of battery box and forward through small grommet in radiator support to cross over to the horn relay. The DELCO battery also had the terminals closer to the radiator support side of the battery and the cables attached to the posts angled slightly from firewall or rear side of battery and over the sides to the posts.
