Question Removing Manual Trans. Frame Support

Question on removing the manual transmission support on the late 70's Chevrolet Pick-Ups> Once all bolts are removed and transmission is supported by other means> (Jack Stand) how hard is it to remove the support?
I know on some cars (Camaro's)it is a bear to turn and swivel the support to clear all parts of the frame to drop. Has anybody done this? Comments please. Thanks in Advance--Larry

It fell out after I removed the last bolt. So, not that hard at all.

Thanks for the response. The one I'm looking at (77 Chevy/Muncie 465) will not simply drop down after the bolts are removed. The outer part of the support on both sides lays on top of the frame. It will have to be"maneuvered" to a degree (I not sure how much) to clear the frame to get dropped. (Just like the Camaro's)Comments? Larry

Just a suggestion, I support the engine also, trans does that job normally. I use a rag wrapped 2X4 between the engine and firewall, usually gives plenty of tilt still to get trans out,and protects the mounts and firewall paint .

I thought I would "move" this up the ladder in hopes to get more comments. If not will just try it on my own. Larry

P.S. Not related to the above but just noticed a NOS 77 Chevy P/U Grill in GM box went for $400 on E-Bay on the "Buy it Now" feature. Prices on these NOS parts are getting out of sight!

Trying getting a NOS 81-91 GM dashpad. 1200 to 1500 is the going price since GM discontinued them a few years ago. If only I knew then could snapped up a few for 500 over the counter.
