c30 hauler worth resto?

I am considering converting this c30 bb dually into a simple but really clean, mechanically restored car hauler.. any thoughts on what the value might be if professionally but modestly build with in reason to original with a simple ramp style platform.? it is an all orginal all there BB truck.

Not really what you are asking but you might be able to make a decent return parting out the truck - especially if the sheet metal is rust free.

Re: c30 hauler worth resto?

sheet metal not good...just drive line runs and complete... this is what I am wanting to do with it minus the high dollar rims. 100 percent chassis and mech resto minus getting inside the engine.. this truck pictured...what you value it at with bb and 400 turbo?

Yeas, I think it's worth it. It does look to be pretty much all original all there. The cab back is not cut out? That's a big deciding factor. I can't give a value when done because I only mess with these trucks because I enjoy them and what they are worth doesn't play in on that

If your worried about what you might get in a bind...you probably shouldn't buy it.

Re: c30 hauler worth resto?

Overall worth is dependent on quality of build and what's done. Not having a rebuilt drivetrain lowers resale a fair bit. I see haulers with original body solid drivers in the $3g range often. Just redoing a chassis and brake system doesn't increase it's value a whole lot.

Re: c30 hauler worth resto?

Its tough to say. If it was a high quality build and the truck was able to haul cars safely and dependably, I would say $15k-20k. If it is just put together using old equipment and not fully restored, I would say $3-5k.

Whatever someone is willing to pay, not a dollar more.
