Fuel sending unit
Ok so I a, sure this is posted somewhere, but I couldn't find it in a search. I need to replace my fuel sending unit in my 1970 GMC 1500 V8 350. I have checks the fuse, ground wire, and ignition wiring and they are all working correctly. What is the process for doing this? I have the seat out and have been able to remove the rings. Do I need to empty the tank? Do I need to unscrew the fitting of the fuel line to get the sending unit out? If anyone could provide me a step by step walk through, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Fuel sending unit
Disconnect the fuel line from the sending unit, loosen the rings and lift the entire assembly out. You will need to move it around to get it out but you don't need to drain the tank. replace the entire unit and reverse to put it all back together. Take your time, and you will have no problems
