Re: 71-72 Whole front end swap on a 65

I'm looking at different cheap a$$ trucks to get the parts from
It seems that 73&up works better or more straightforward than 71-72

73 up to what year?
Will 90s trucks front/rear end work on a 65?

73-87 1/2 ton truck or the suburban was the same body tell 91 but make sure its a 1/2 ton 2wd.The easy way to tell a 1/2 ton is the 5 lug anything else is 6 or 8 lug.The rear ends im not sure on the widths but it would take welding on new spring perches if its a truck arm truck you have,If its leaf springs would be new spring perches and shock tabs. The other way is http://www.earlyclassic.com/ sells 5 lug swap axles and drums for it tho.Its not the cheapest option but a bolt on one.

I have front and rear in my 65 from a 71/72. I went with drop spindles also. Cheaper yes for 73 up, also a little heavier duty as well, be sure to use the hd brakes.
