82 C10 manual to power brake conversion
Is the underdash linkage the same for manual and power brakes on an 82 C10?
The linkage was the same on the 69 C10 I converted to power, but it was totally different on my 55 Chevy sedan. (Less pedal travel and leverage with power brakes linkage.) And while I'm at it, which kits (or pieces and parts) do you guys recommend? My truck already has a proportioning valve mounted to the frame.

Re: 82 C10 manual to power brake conversion
On my 76 I converted to power brakes and I ended up using the brake pedal from an 86 as well as the rod end that screws. Into the firewall. It was perfect with my clutch. Long story short: just grab the parts from a junker and hook them up with a new booster/cylinder. I believe the "slot" where the brake pedal connects to rod is different between the two. I'm sure someone will give you a more definite answer though

Re: 82 C10 manual to power brake conversion
I just swapped to manual brakes, the vacuum booster should come with half a push rod with female threads. If it does, I have the other half, you're welcome to have it.

Re: 82 C10 manual to power brake conversion
Thanks for the response, and the offer. I'll let you know if I decide to convert. Pedal effort isn't too bad, and should be better with new rear brakes.
