Re: I love this dually! (not mine)

Those racks are stock??? Hey, it has a bedside toolbox! That's a fancy cab C/30. Great find!
A dually is a pickup truck. The name came about when GM started making factory dual rear pickups they called "Big Dooley", as in the legend of Tom Dooley. Single rear wheels is the norm for pickups, so we point out dual rear ones as duallies. Dual rear wheels are the norm for cab & chassis one tons, so we point out SRW (single rear wheel) on those that are not.

Not stock as in factory supplied, but stock as in livestock.

You know, I always wondered about the "Big Dooley" I don't see connection to the song Tom Dooley, or the actual story of Tom Dula.

Interesting note though, the town where the murder happened is one county over, the town where the trial and hanging took place is near me. The road I grew up on is "Dooley Road".

Ironic though, my Dually will not fit on Dooley Road.

I don't get the connection, either. There's probably no connection and GM just gave it a known name to spell dually differently.
I've been near your place I guess. I've read the plaque on the roadside where his hanging was
