Bed year question on AD
I want to order bed wood but I am having a hard time. I have a choice of 9 boards for 1947 to 1950 or 8 boards for 1951 to 1953. I have 7 boards. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Re: Bed year question on AD
Looks like it was redone at some point in time and whoever just used what they had (wider boards).if you want it correct then get the boards for your year model but you would need a couple more strips to redo it.

Re: Bed year question on AD
I agree, some of those boards are very wide, pull them up and see if the cross sills were re drilled. You should have a 9 board for your year

Re: Bed year question on AD
and unless your going for a points restoration...
you can choose less or more boards if you want i went with trex plastic decking that is only available in 5.25'' width truk has 1 more board and strip than normal for 55-59 trucks

Re: Bed year question on AD
I really like that idea for a daily driver/toy hauler build.
