Why are there 3 locations for the wiper pivots?

Anyone else notice this? Did the 67-72 trucks ever come in right hand drive?

I was told one time that there were right handers available. I have never seen one, but that would be my guess for it also. By the way I love the color you went with, been watching your progress.

I have been intrigued but that very same thing, but I just read a post from someone down under w/ aRHD, but his wipers were still in the same location as ours. Soooo, the mystery continues

Whoa, just noticed you painted the wiper valley. Nice touch

U.S. Post office. And over seas sales? I believe everything inside the cab can be flip-flopped also.

They are for right hand drive trucks. They used the outer two locations, and the wipers dont both go the same direction like left hand drive trucks, they go opposite of each other like older cars and trucks. Edit: just found a pic.

Just to add to that, for '63 Pontiacs (big cars, like Grand Prix/Catalina) the single speed wipers are a traditional pivot with the wipers going the same way; the optional two speed wipers w/washers pivot on the outside and meet in the middle - like your RHD version shown above.

I have no idea why they would do that.

FWIW -

Here's a video of a factory RHD C-10, and although the owner has removed the wiper pivots, you can clearly see at the 0:16 mark that the pivots were bolted in the standard position.
