Vent window assembly to door, lower seal doesn't fit

Pic's say it all. Completely rebuilt vent windows. Precision seals. All went together well, and all original holes used. Three small screws in the door frame all installed. Inside looks pretty good, rolled up slightly at the front, but if it was any higher the rubber lip might not be long enough to sit on inner door frame. Outside is clearly a different story. It's like the entire wing window frame/rubber is 1/4" plus to low! Left side isn't as bad. Anyone had a similar experience? Any ideas guys?

I maybe wrong but I believe the rubber is supoed to go inside the door shell not outside or ontop like you have it !

Not a great pic, found it on here, but it does show the rubber inside the door.

Thanks Gary! That whole assumption thing kicking in! Thought I was sealing the weather out.

No these doors don't seal up well at all. Best thing is to make sure the drain holes in the bottom of the doors are not plugged up.

Re: Vent window assembly to door, lower seal doesn't fit

Thank you very much for this post. I just reassembled my door glass and vent windows and mine are set up incorrectly as well! Now I have a small project for this weekend.
