seat belts
I have found seat belts for the 76-86 models are getting harder to find. can I use a set of belts with shoulder harness from a later model in my 78 single cab? will they bolt up. etc.? thanks

Re: seat belts
Not sure in this specific case. BUT, I had a 79 with working belts I wanted to swap to my 85 and I did except for the buckle part or they would've worked.

Re: seat belts
I'm pretty sure that the newer one will work. But like ZACH said you will need to use the shoulders with the matching buckles

Re: seat belts
They are out there, in the trucks at the salvage yard. I was very lucky and found a truck only 45 mins away, that had all the belts still in. And they were in excellent condition!!!
This site searches all the salvage yards out there. http://www.car-part.com |
