Lmc fender hardware
You guys have any reviews on lmc fender hardware? Also What's the finish on the bolts? I was looking for a zinc coated bolt or preferably a stainless.

Re: Lmc fender hardware
I'm interested in feedback on the hardware finish also. It's hard to replace the factory look sometimes and am thinking about having some of my hardware re-plated. Not finding much info doing searches, so maybe it's not something that's done too much with these trucks? Not only that, but the fender hardware isn't always in good enough condition once removed to consider reusing it.

Re: Lmc fender hardware
After seeing LMC's truck at sema, go with original hardware and buy your replacement parts from Classic parts or any other vendor. I was very disappointed with the quality of that poor truck.

Re: Lmc fender hardware
easy enough to get stainless all you need is an idea of the size and number of what you need and go into your local fastener store go up to the counter and tell them what you want then you pay for them and walk out with a nice bag full of shiny bolts

Re: Lmc fender hardware
Every single one of their parts fit horrible, The paint job was decent although how the white was split on the cab in the door jamb was just plain lazy. I could go on but I don't care to bash too much.

Re: Lmc fender hardware
I did buy some cab corners from the and they were terrible so I believe it. It's unfortunate that there is so many garbage aftermarket parts for out trucks

Re: Lmc fender hardware
i used totally stainless...their bolt heads have the stock-style depression in the center... looks better than the writing on hardware store bolts...they make kits for almost anything on the truck

Quote:
The bolts at the front of the fender (pt number 3846202) to the radiator support were supposed to be black but we discovered the cadmium version of the same bolt would not crossthread or break the weldnuts loose as easily. ("Lang" and "Ferndale" were the two fastener manufacturers but I don't remember which ones were the "good" ones). As a result we would search through the plant and grab all the silver bolts we could find. We would run them on second shift and then stash them in our lockers when we left, putting all of the black bolts out for first shift. They could never figure out why they had so many cross threaded bolts and we didn't. K
