amatuer question hear re radio installation

my question is do I need the radio cups to install an original radio on my 69 CST10? I have all the knobs and nuts, but no cups...and the rear bracket.

Yes, to correctly stand off the dash the right amount for the nuts to work, etc, I believe you do indeed need the cups. I remember needed them to properly install an aftermarket radio too once.

Should be cheap and easy to find though.
