65 control arms replacement, with stock brakes??

Trying to wade through the posts, and I still cant find a straight answer.

I bought ball joints for my 65, with stock control arms, stock drum brakes, stock ride height. However I was thinking about buying new upper and lower control arms as well. The lack of availability sucks, and I dont want to spend $1k on tubulars.

I saw a few posts talking about buying 67-72 controls arms, and just putting in 60-66 ball joints if keeping the stock brakes. Now I know disc conversion is awesome, but I'm not ready to drop that kind of money right now. Do the 67-72 bolt right up?

Are there any options for me, or am I stuck with crudded up and rusted control arms for now?

I'm sure you can get some good used ones for 25 or 35 apiece at a wrecking yard

I guess what im most confused about is that some brands claim 60-72 for their control arms, and others have the two generations separated. While some (performanceonline for one) have only 63-72 as their application years.

Makes my brain hurt; thank god for beer!

1960, 61, and 62 have torsion bar front ends. They are entirely different.
Anyone that lists 60-72 is incorrect on their information.

if they are complete, the 71-72 ball joints are different also.

I'm sure they will bolt right on using year model appropriate ball joints and bump stops. They are CPP products, so you could give them a call just to make certain. I am planning to buy them for my '63.
