should i replace plug wires?
the clever previous owner has 3 different brand wires on my 72. some are 7mm some are 8mm? im assuming i should probably get a matching set of wires.
whats a good brand (not too expensive) of wires to get and what size wires? 8mm? the truck has HEI.

You can get a set of Accel wires for around $25. I use them on both of my rides.

i always buy the universal kits because the costom fir kits always seem a bit too long
this way you can cut to length desired put ends on (they normally come with straight and 90deg boots)and take the chances out of grounding or crossfireing, it also cleans up the engine compartment a little for the same price 8mm accel wires will work fine

i've got 8mm accel solid cores and they work fine, some people told me they would mess with my radio, but I've had no problems yet. I would definitely get matched wires, no matter what brand you go with.

GEt a set for a 75 Vette. they fit best and you don't have to change lengths.

I have a set of Accell Super Stock wires on my truck, and i like them alot. Get the cut-to-fit wires, it dosen't take too much longer to put them on, and you can route them any way you please. I dont know if Accell makes a set for a '75 Vette, give a auto parts store a call and they will know. The set for a 75 Vette will work on these trucks, only if they have HEI on them, because the Vette wires are designed to work with Ramshorn exhaust manifolds, and the HEI distributor. Good luck!
