Bell housing compatibility
Hello,
I have decided to switch from a 235ci to a 265ci motor in my 1955 2nd series truck. First, will a 1960's - 1970's SB Chevy bell housing out of a truck with a V-8 be compatible with my 265 engine. I've found a truck bell housing with casting #2457302.....will this work. Second, what different type of accelerator linkage is required now with a V-8? Thank you. |

Re: Bell housing compatibility
From what I can find that is a Bellhousing for a mid 60's GMC 305 V6. I found that by searching 2757302 bellhousing and it confirms what the first link Orrie posted said.
