Th350 to 700-R4?
Truck is an 84 c10 swb with a 305 v8 4 barrel carb th350 transmission and I may be parting the 90 suburban and just wondering if I can use the 700 r4 without any modifications? Thanks in advance.

The crossmember will need to go back, you'll need a shorter driveshaft, you'll need some way to control lockup and connect your TV cable, you'll probably have to monkey with linkage also.

If you're parting the Suburban anyway, it will have almost everything you need

Re: Th350 to 700-R4?
A 700R4 is physically longer than a TH350, so that's true regardless of wheelbase. Fortunately Chevy made these trucks with 700R4's so the t parts exist

Actually, no difference in driveshaft length if your TH350 is original to the truck. Car TH350"s are shorter by 3".
You will have to move the cross member back. |

Re: Th350 to 700-R4?
Will the thm350c vacuum switch on the firewall that controls the lock up converter work with the 700r4? In other words, if your truck was originally equipped with a turbo 350c, will the 700r4 work with the 350c connections?

I wasn't sure if all trucks got the 9 1/4 tail housing. Good to know! Natedogg, I have no idea, but I doubt it's that simple.
