Is this a C30 front end?

I installed this in my 1970 C20 (8lug) and all is well but I wanted to purchase drop spindles. I'm almost positive its out of a 1980 C30 but want to confirm.

Re: Is this a C30 front end?

It looks just like the 79 C30 crossmember I put under my 68 truck Homer. I think I have pictures in my build thread if you want to confirm.

Re: Is this a C30 front end?

Interesting that they still used the metal style arm bushings, like the '72 and earlier trucks. I would have thought they would have changed to the rubber style like the 1/2 ton ones.

The 73-87 (/91) HD C20/30 trucks continued using the original steel sleeve/rubber lined set-up. The lighter duty trucks got the car style bushings for better ride quality.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

You are welcome. What spindles did you get? dropped? from who and how much? I am considering putting drop spindles on my 68 C30.

Re: Is this a C30 front end?

so a 79/80 c30 front cross member is a direct bolt on exchange for a c10 front cross member on a 68 c10
