My first C10
Hey guys, I just bought my first C10. 1967 2wd LWB with the I6 and a 2sp Powerglide. For being almost 50 years old, it runs like a champ.
I do have some questions. Were door alignment problems common? I looked at several and the doors all seemed to be bent in a little at the front fender gap. Also, has anyone tried to convert one to four wheel drive? All the 4x4s I looked at were in really bad shape, so ended up getting a 2wd. I'm not dead set on converting it, but it's something I'd like to look into. Lastly, does anyone have a suggestion for relocating the fuel tank? I'd like to get it out of the cab so I can have a little more room in there. Any info would help a lot, and thanks in advance!

Not sure about all but mine also seem a little pinched down on the front leading edge where the door gap hits the front fender. I wouldn't worry too much about it. There have been conversions, you can hit the "search this thread" button and use key words to search. Tons of posts on relocating the tank. Usually don't gain much "room" as the seat actually hits the back of the cab, not the tank. I moved my column forward (bit of work) to gain some belly room. Smaller wheel will help too.

Re: My first C10
Welcome to you from the eastern part of Arkansas. We [my family] used to sell Mathews cutters made in your town. Check the hinges on your door or open it up and try picking up on the back side to see it it "wiggles" Next check the stop strap to make sure it isn't opening too far.
Your not gonna get a lot of room moving the tank but some guys do put speakers or some stuff back there. Like Cooper said the seat is gonna hit the cab before the spot where the tank used to be. |

Re: My first C10
Well, here it is. Froze my goods off getting these, so hope you like em.
As far as the fuel tank, I'm ditching the stock bench and putting in buckets and a center console, which I'd like to run to the back of the cab. The driver's side window regulator broke and the glass is stuck halfway down, so the bench has been wet, and I'm sure it's had some critters in it during it's (I'm assuming) years of storage. Another question, does anyone know where I can find a set of tube bumpers (front and rear) that will bolt in? The rear bumper is missing and the front took a hit at some point. I'd like something a little beefier on it.
