Since Yezzi posted his before and after engine bay picture
Here is mine not the greatest pics I may have to round up another before and then take some more afters but this was a couple of the last ones I took before completely having every thing buttoned up.
I dug into it when Yezzi posted his and got me in the mood to do some cleaning up along with some maintenance that needed done also. My engine not being orange doesn't show up as good but proud of the difference. Everything was kept original just rebuilt such as radiator and heater core was recored, alternator restored, water pump rebuilt, new hoses, belts, plugs, new gas tanks, pumps etc etc truck just rolled over 69k as it's back on the road and I'm loving it |

Nice work! LO5 TBI 5.7L’s were always nice and tidy looking engines not to mention dirt reliable and super easy to repair. I pulled the L05 out of my Suburban a few years ago as it needed a clutch and the engine needed resealed badly. It cleaned up really nice when it was done. Ran like a top too but unfortunately, it didn’t have near enough gonads to adequately propel a big Suburban here at high altitude so the LO5 was replaced with something more substantial. I still have the LO5 for some future project as well as access to a 292 I6 for a future project that either would mate nicely to a NV3500 5 speed that has been loitering around the garage for some time.

Yes, put new tanks as correct as I found painted them with POR 15 to match original chassis black that came on them, new fuel pumps, tank straps came out great nice having 31 gallons at the flip of a switch right tank hadn't worked in years and years.
Dirty larry engine bay in both came out great thanks for sharing! |

Clean engines and engine bays are nicer to work on. Still have some work to do come spring time
