Interior Help
I am swapping to an older 64-66 C10 truck dash to get rid of the factory dash pad and to be a little different. Now that the dash pad will be gone I am having a hard time deciding what color to paint the interior. The truck will be a satin black and I plan to keep the green wheels(you can see them in the background)
Most of the older trucks came from the factory with the goldish color interior that the original dash is, should I try to match that? What about the stock "lime" green(I don't know the exact color code/name) that these trucks came in? I might use the seat that is the picture but it is a fixed back location, can I use the hardware from my seat to make it fold forward? With the truck being black what color carpet would look good inside? I have a recovered black seat, the seat pictured and black door panels, I'm just not sure if I want to go back to black on black or a different color on the interior.

Re: Interior Help
I vote for the factory tan/gold color. I always liked that color and it will bring back memories for most old duffers.

Re: Interior Help
I think it's the original from the 73 I got. I can't use it though bc the viynl is dry rotted and cracks when you put weight on it. I'm currently on the hunt for some similar fabric for my seat.

Re: Interior Help
I dig the dash. I did a 64 Impala dash in mine. If you are using the green wheels I would try to bring some green into the interior as well.

Re: Interior Help
Use a factory green, this would look great:
For carpet, I'd use green loop, tie it in a little more. |
