68 bucket seat and 68 brake question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I was at a friends yard yesterday and he showed me a 68 cab that had a bracket on the back of the cab that the folding up part of the middle seat rested against. Is that original? I hadnt seen one before... its pretty much a piece of channel about 10 inches long, seemed to fit and look correct. Also he had a 68 suburban which had interior trim option... it had a cover that went over the emergency brake section directly under the dash kinda wrapped below the steering column... now I've seen people ask for 67-68 emergency brake cover but I wasnt sure where they were mounted...is this correct also.? No pics of these sorry.Rod

I didn't know there was a steel channel that the seat rested on either . Anybody out have one i am interested . I have an extra E-Brake cover if you need one Rod .

my 68 suburban bucket seats don't have that bracket.....

and the strap that holds the seat which has a velcro piece not showing on one end.
