Newbie with new ride
Hello, new to the forum, just bought this a couple weeks ago and thought I'd share it. I hear these Custom Campers are kind of rare.
This is a '66, one owner, 62000 miles, 327, three speed, column shift, that was purchased new in the same home town I live in at an old Chevrolet dealership that has since closed. The truck still has the dealership badges on both sides. Gonna keep it original looking, even the split rims with a spare. |

Beautiful! If the truck is anywhere as nice as it appears, you've got a winner!
Love the color too. |

Thanks to everyone for the kind words, the truck runs and drives great. It appears to have been well maintained through its life.

Re: Newbie with new ride
Wow, that is a nice truck. Cool that it is still wearing the dealership badges and in your hometown. Good color too. Any interior pics? We always like pictures haha.

Assuming that is even the original paint, that is amazing, time capsule on wheels. I'm envious

Re: Newbie with new ride
Thanks, the rear bumper, front homemade hitch and the seat cover have been removed. Waiting for warmer weather to really start working on the truck. Thinking about keeping it mainly a survivor with some minor touch ups and some freshening up. Here are some more pics of when i brought it home....
