2001 brakes on my 69 C10
I read the FAQ on brake swaps and could find nothing about what my truck has, so I thought I'd share. My front right wheel bearing was going out and I needed to go ahead and change the tie rods on that side. I wasn't sure if the tie rods were from the 69 or 01. It looks like the bolted the 01 spindle right on the 69 A-arm.
Everything but the brakes and spindle seem to be 69. The caliper pin T50 head is stripped though, all of the replacements I found at the shops are 1/8th of an inch too long...I'd prefer not having hex bolts and metric crap. Anyhow, the swap was done and works.

Looks like an old tie rod. It also looks like it doesn't fit. (No castle nut)

I've been wondering how hard it would be to 99+ spindles to these trucks. do you know how much or if the track width was changed and or any geometry/alignment issues?
what is the spindle pin height in relation to a stock spindle?

Tie rods are from a 97 1500. What a frankentruck.
The front end seems about 1/8" wider than the rear. You can't really tell from the string in the pic but can in person.

I believe 1/8" is much less difference than usual.

Did they use the 99-06 lower ball joint , that bolts into the control arm? what's the ride height like on your truck , would be great if you had a couple more pics.
