Painted my dash bezel
Found this bezel on ebay thinking it was pretty close to perfect. But once I received it I was happy with the overall condition but the stainless finish wasn't as nice as I thought by the pictures. Had some flaws and since everything I have done for my interior so far is new or close to perfect I dcided to tape it off and re finish the stainless look. Of course it wouldnt looked the same but should pop nicely if taped off correctly. I used a Duplicolor Stainless steel spay paint then clear coated it with a matte finish. Here is how it turned out so far. I plan on spraying some satin black to the black areas to finish it off. Tell me what you guys think!
I sanded the imperfect spots with a 220 |

Re: Painted my dash bezel
Looks good. I bought a basic black bezel off Ebay for my 83 C20 Silverado. I prefer that look to the brushed aluminum/chrome ring Silverado one. Having worked in the Chevrolet manufacturing plant in the late 1970s that made the bezels, I know that those bezel decals have problems with discoloration and cracking, so I wanted to avoid those problems.

Re: Painted my dash bezel
Thanks! Hoping it holds up good. But I don't see it being much of an issue
