Firewall Insulation Pad

Anyone replace one? Any tips would be appreciated ..

Most ppl dont run them from what i seen....u will see someone now an then with one

You have to have a lot of stuff out. Do you have a/c or not?
WO/AC is less work
I still try to find a none /ac pad.

Duel 77-87 Factory air cleaner, duel inlet from rad support . Down sized 9' to new 8' Steel flat bed
Was a 77 454 w/308 gear. Taken out 550 lbs. up front with motor clip change.

To put it in correctly you have to have pretty much everything out from under the dash. I just tried putting one from LMC in my 83 with a/c and could not get it to fit right at all, I'll make you a good deal on it!! I ended up getting one from somewhere else and it worked good, I will post tomorrow where it came from, I can't think of it right now

I put a double layer of that foil insulation from Home Depot up there

Well that's kinda what I thought just glancing at it, lots of labor .. thanks, I think I'll look into alternatives.

What are your impressions of the foil?
