Question about 15x8 6 lug steel wheels

My neighbor want's to run these on his truck and he's not too computer savvy so i told him i would find a set for him. I've been reading on here that they are getting rare and hard to find which is proving to be the case... There was a set on craigslist but the guy wanted $600 for them which i thought was crazy. Then i see a set that just sold on ebay for $650

Is this the going rate?

Are these available in the after market?

Re: Question about 15x8 6 lug steel wheels

You could have them made for less than those prices. They go for $400 a set, unless a rip-off is selling them

Re: Question about 15x8 6 lug steel wheels

I've been looking for a set of those for quite some time. When I have seen them, people seem to be asking crazy prices like that.

If I could find a set for $400 I'd snag them in a heartbeat.

Re: Question about 15x8 6 lug steel wheels

As has been stated they are extremely hard to find and yes about 400 a set is the going rate even they need some work.

Re: Question about 15x8 6 lug steel wheels

call around to anybody doing surplus army blazers. usually some junk yards right off the front gate of any army post buys them used in bulk . If you dont like the camo or "tactical" colors, paint it white or whatever.

Re: Question about 15x8 6 lug steel wheels

Thanks guys! I have a set of 15x8 rally's he's probably going to use. He wanted the deep rim with hub cap look but at those prices he'll just use my rally's...

So these aren't made at all in the after market? I've seen the no nub ones but can't use a hub cap with them.

undertaker72 I appreciate it but don't waist your time. It had a guy who wanted my rally's and the shipping was crazy. I read on here and it is true you can save a bit if you fit 2 in one box but still way expensive and not worth it.

Grayhound bus ships bigger/heavier stuff cheap, but you need go pick it up from them.

I did find a pair of these but they are for snap in hub caps. Anybody know what years they are for and or have pics of the caps that go in them?

I've tried that too, still impossible, at least in my area.

Re: Question about 15x8 6 lug steel wheels

Yeah, the ad that was on craiglist mentioned something like that, off a military truck...

There is a pretty big swap meet in rhinebeck ny coming up here soon. I'll have to keep my eye's peeled.

We're going to use the nbs centers on the rally's. Did that on my other neighbors 97 tahoe and it looked great.

Re: Question about 15x8 6 lug steel wheels

Has anyone tried using the centers from a set of stock drum brake wheels along with new outer rings like these?

I paid around that for mine, but that was for wheels that were already powder coated and ready to run.

I know there are shops out there who will do that. They pull the centers out of whatever you have and install new hoops.

Re: Question about 15x8 6 lug steel wheels

I just bought a pair of 15x10's. While in Ontario. Guy was willing to bring them back to Alberta but want $150.00. I put them in. Home Depot cardboard box and took them on the plane with me. Cost me $25. for over weight luggage. They won't accept a dog dish cap but I'm putting on P01 full wheel covers on anyway.

Re: Question about 15x8 6 lug steel wheels

Yeah, I searched for some time for stock 15 in., 6 lug rims, and was about to give up, but got lucky. Got a set of four stock 6-lug 15 in. rims, a set of good Spicer lockouts, a NP205 case, power steering box and pitman arm off of a '78 k10 junker for $300.
