Having trouble
I have 2008 5.3 (LY5) and having problem with DBW. Iam using a 2008 Impala throttle. The pedal is not working. The throttle body is clicking when i when i turn on the key. I get a P221 & p2138 code when i fire it up also a po204 . I think i have the wiring at the pedal wrong. Does some one have the color codes for how it will work. Thanks Kenny

Re: Having trouble
The 0204 code is an injector circuit, so I think thats a separate issue.
The p0221 and p2138 are dbw-throttle circuit failures. Often that means that the tb/ecm/pedal don't jive, or the potential for an issue with the wiring. I'd take a look at the wires off the TB, making sure your molex plugs are fully seated, and that all the system grounds are adequate. Are these codes every time, or does it ever work correctly and then go back to fault?

Re: Having trouble
Yes every time i have started it about 10 times the same thing. The Throttle butter fly makes a noise and opens about 1/16 motor runs but no throttle. I will double check all my grounds and try again.

Re: Having trouble
It will make noise each time on key-on, thats just the safety check.
