or past experiences. I don't mind body damage, im just interested in making

sure the truck is healthy engine wise.

I had a 66 swb fleetside for a few years and it drove great! A friend had a 63 swb stepside about the same time and it was nice, but never drove as good as mine. I liked my 66 and wish I still had it. . GTT

For me the body is always more important than the engine.

The body isn't the fun part for most of the people that do body work. It's by far the most expensive. If you don't plan on fixing it then not to worry but if you do then I'd say keep looking. The grey one doesn't look bad but seems like it has some issues. How much are you looking at spending overall? What are your plans for the truck?

treveiger,

im looking to spend at least 4500, and my plan for the truck is to use it at transportation,

but fix it up when i have to time to at my pace. i just want it to drive good, and be

healthy, and worry about the way it looks after.

Re: interested in this 63 C10

I would be skeptical about the '63. No pics of the drivers side, and there is lots of rust showing thru in various areas. He said he spent $6k, but willing to unload for $4k, as he is buying a house. No a great way to save for a house.
The 66 seems to be the better choice between the 2. Engine might not be as good, but that is easier to get fixed than a bad body with lots of rust.
Good luck with your decision.

Re: interested in this 63 C10

I bought my truck frame off restore for $6900 and have been fixing the things I like as I go. Everything was done but some things needed to be fixed, might be something to look for is something that body wise is solid and motor wise is solid as well. Some times you can get lucky and find a great deal with a little more cash. Keep us posted!

Looks like you only have one choice now anyhow cause the bottom post has been deleted by the author.

That 63 has a salvage title though. It may mean nothing to you but i dont buy ones with a salvage or rebuilt title.
