Paint Code 542 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am having my 1965 truck painted it's original color which is paint code 542. From the researched I have done so far I know that paint code 542 is a two-tone combination of 512 maroon and white. My question is in regards to the white color. Is the white the 521 white color or the 526 ivory color or some other white?

Maaaaan.... I can't help you specifically, but there was a maroon and ivory '64-'66 short-step locally here that was just a really, really nice combination.

Maroon and white would have totally changed the look. The ivory made the whole truck warm.

526 Ivory-Off White (64-66) or also known as Cameo White ( 60-63) is correct for two tone application.

521 White (64-66) or Pure White (55-63) is for an all white truck not available with Two Tone..
