Separating the glove box door from woodgrain metal backing on 72 Super
Hi all, don't know if I worded this right, am looking for a way to separated the chrome/woodgrain from my 72 Super glove box door os the door can be painted. Didn't want to ruin the chrome/woodgrain piece. Any idea's or hints would be great.
Thanks Eddie ![]() |

You can buy a new wood grain panel from brothers for $19.99. It is probably easier to replace it then trying to save it.

A flexible putty knife and patience.

I removed mine today. I used a putty knife and worked it all around until it was all loose. The emblem is installed with barrel nuts. I took a very long screw driver and inserted it between the wood grain piece and the glove box and pried up on the emblem and it popped loose.
