Dads old truck

New to this Web thing, but trying my but off to keep our family suburban tradition alive. I just purchased my dad's suburban that has sat 17 years. Can't wait to give him the keys for a spin one day just like he did me at 16. Planning to work hard and turn this one into not just one of dads old trucks. Any help with parts or advice on where to start would be helpful.
