Various metal thickness
What gauge or how thick are the various metal panels of the cab? Is this info listed anywhere?
Specifically the floor, as I have to make one large (8 x8) & several small (1-2" round) patch panels. If I measured correctly, the floor looks to be 18 gauge or 0.05" without paint. I found this web page pretty helpful. https://www.tedpella.com/company_html/gauge.htm |

Re: Various metal thickness
Yes I'm pretty sure that the floor is 18 gauge. That's what I've been using

Re: Various metal thickness
I like to use 18 gauge for patch work as it is easier to weld.

Re: Various metal thickness
I use 18 for everything since it is a little easier to bend and matches the thickness of the original. I just picked up some 16 gauge I would consider using for the floor if I still had flor work to do. Going to use the 16 to make a new battery tray and patch my inner fenders where they rusted in the front, but that's about it. Good luck
